By now you should all have received notice of our Rosh HaShanah fund raiser.  We are making available beautiful fused glass Mezuza Covers for distribution to congregants and their friends and families. Additionally, we are also giving you the option of buying Kosher Mezuzot, at our cost.

Help support our shul by becoming a Mezuzah Club member and being recognized as sponsor for all members.  You can also buy individual Mezuzot for your distribution to family members and friends.  An order blank can be downloaded from here.  Follow directions on the order form.  All orders should be mailed to Shoshanah Schmere (address on order form) and received no later than September 1st.

High Holiday Baalei Tefilla:
Yehuda Shvager

 

·         Chaim Sigler who was born in Jerusalem, Israel, and raised in Detroit, Michigan, will be leading Shacharit . He attended Yeshiva Beth Yehuda, Yeshiva Gedolah Chaim Siglerin Detroitand Yeshivat BeitYitzchak in Hamilton, Ontario.

Growing up, Chaim was surrounded by singing and Chazzanus. Already in elementary school he was a star soloist in Beth Yehuda's choir and he sang with various groups in Ontario during high school. Chaim's grandfather and uncles all were Chazzanim in various cities throughout the world.

For most of his adult life he have been involved in singing; lead singer and owner of Lev HaChaim Orchestra (AKA Segulah Orchestra in Detroit), Kol Zimrah (an Acapella group based out of New York) and has made his own album several years ago. Over the past few years he led Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur services in Las Vegas, Nevada.
