Reopening Bnai Abraham

Shalom Austin has announced it is planning on starting a phased re-opening of the campus on Monday, June 15. This good news means that the planning that had already begun for our own CTI reopening will start bearing fruit very soon.

Our shul will start by initially opening for Shabbat morning services ONLY. So the soonest CTI could be in the sanctuary is Saturday, June 20.

We will endeavor to open June 20, if possible, but as we move forward we will be paying attention to facts on the ground, which could cause us to delay past the 20th.

Some things you can expect once we reopen include reduced total seating capacity with lots of space between seats, advance signups to attend services, everyone wearing a face mask, bringing your own siddurim, chumashim and talleisim, and other changes designed to keep everyone safe.

For now, we ask your patience as the various procedures are sorted out and needed supplies are obtained. In the meantime, you can expect timely informational updates as soon as we have them. We will use emails to the membership and this website to update you on the latest information as it becomes available, so check back here frequently.  Feel free to email Arthur Altman or Rabbi Dan with specific questions or concerns and we will do our best to answer them.
