CTI is excited to announce that one of our own, Beth Shapiro, will be showing her art work at this year's East Austin Studio Tour.
The East Austin Studio Tour (EAST) is a free, annual art event that provides opportunities for the public to meet the artists and artisans of Austin in their creative spaces. 

Beth has kindly agreed to give us a tour of the 5-8 pieces she will be showing at the event. 
We will meet on November 18th at 3 PM at her studio at 1600 S Pleasant Valley Rd.  

About Beth's work: 
Beth's abstract paintings are created through poured layers of translucent and opaque glazes onto clear acrylic sheeting. Her work is visually compelling – its transparencies reveal portions of the layers below; yet the luminosity and reflective character of the material does not quite allow the viewer to truly penetrate the surface.
