Volunteering, Donating & Supporting CTI
There are many ways to show your support for CTI from financial to volunteering your time. The shul is a community and it takes all of the community to make the shul what it is. Consider showing your support.
To volunteer your time please contact Arthur Altman at President@TiferetAustin.org or by phone at (512) 410-0336, ext 102.
CTI has a number of funds to which donations may be directed. With the sole exception of the Rabbi's Discretionary Fund, all funds are controlled by the CTI Board of Directors.
- Alex Sole Education Fund: For the support of all types of education, including school for children (including scholarships), adult education, and scholar-in-residence program.
- Chesed Fund: Established in memory of Karen Janson a"h, for use by the Chesed Committee in executing its mission.
- General Fund: For general operational costs of the synagogue. All donations and payments go into this fund unless otherwise specified.
- Rabbi's Discretionary Fund: For dispensing charity to needy individuals and families. This fund is controlled by the Rabbi without any Board oversight to preserve anonymity.
- Scholar-in-Residence Fund: For CTI's Scholar-in-Residence program.
- Torah Fund: For maintaining, beautifying, and acquiring CTI's Torahs and accessories and other holy items including Torah covers, curtains, and silver adornments.
If you choose to, you may dedicate a donation In Honor of, In Memory of, or for a Refuah Shelayma for another person. The dedicated individual will be notified that a donation was made by you and the reason for the donation, though not the amount of the donation.
You may make a donation to CTI either by check or by credit card. If you are donating by check, please make it out to Congregation Tiferet Israel, mark what it is for in the memo section of the check, and mail it to:
Congregation Tiferet Israel
PO Box 27254
Austin, TX 78755-2254
To donate by credit card, please click here or click on Make a Donation in any sidebar on this website.
