Shabbat and Yom Tov Attendance Enrollment

With the local COVID-19 numbers continuing to worsen and the City of Austin declaring a Stage 5 Health Emergency, the Board of Directors, in consultation with the CTI Medical Committee and Rabbi Dan, has authorized holding Shabbat services outdoors only and only if we are assured a minyan.

This means that each week we will assess if we have enough participants and volunteers to form a minyan, read the Torah, and perform the added steps needed to hold services outside. This includes setting up and putting back chairs, the portable Ark, a table to read the Torah, and a canopy. Weather conditions will be a major consideration and likely the main limiting factor.  Depending on the weather forecast, we may plan on booth a Shacharit/Musaf service and a Mincha service.

We will continue with signup sheets for each Shabbat as before, so people can register their interest in attending Shabbat morning. Friday mornings an email will be sent to those who have signed up online to confirm if there will be services or not. It is important that those hoping to come to services sign up below before Thursday evening so we can confirm a minyan to those who are planning to come Shabbat morning.

We hope and pray we will be able to return to holding indoor services at the shul soon.

We will continue to practice Social Distancing and taking other precautions to minimize the possibility of spreading the virus.   We will be enforcing these actions for everyone's safety.  The practices we will be following are similar to the ones previously used modified as needed for an outdoor minyan.  They are described here.  Before completing your reservation below, you will be required to indicate you have read the CTI B'nai Abraham Attendance Practices Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and agree to abide by them.

We are holding Shabbat and Yom Tov services in front of B'nai Abraham.  Reservations are required.  A separate enrollment for each Shabbat and Yom Tov needs to be completed.  If you need a minyan to say Kaddish during a weekday morning or evening service, please email Minyan@TiferetAustin.org.

Members and non-members can sign up for Shabbat and Yom Tov  services up to two weeks in advance. They must be made no later than midnight on Thursday for attendance the coming Shabbat or Yom Tov.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email Reservations@TiferetAustin.org

Please enroll for each Shabbat and Yom Tov service you intend to attend.
